The Disinhibition Effect:

In short, the disinhibition effect describes how people act or speak in a way online that they wouldn't do in real life because they can stay anonymous. There are two main types of disinhibition: Toxic Disinhibition, when people act meaner online than they would in real life, and Benign Disinhibition, when people share more information about themselves online than they would in real life.
